Although I'm off to a slow start this year I thought perfect timing for me to start my post would be Grammy night so I'm going to begin with some #Grammy throwbacks in honor of the most legendary night music so stay tuned......

Veteran Filmmaker Spike Lee took advantage of his frequent descending  undertone as he sat down with Charlie Rose earlier in the week to discuss The Oscars, Lebron James, The President, and why we haven't seen the rumored sequel to Inside Man yet. Check more out after the jump!

On Why the Oscars Don’t Matter:
“In 1989, Do the Right Thing was not even nominated [for best picture]. What film won best picture in 1989? Driving Miss Mother F—ing Daisy! That’s why [Oscars] don’t matter, because 20 years later, who’s watching Driving Miss Daisy?”

“There are many times in history where the best work does not get awarded and I’m not even talking about my own work. So that’s why (The Oscars) don’t matter.”

On Why The Sequel to his most successful film ‘Inside Man’ was never made
“Inside Man was my most successful film, but we can’t get the sequel made. And one thing Hollywood does well is sequels. The film’s not getting made. We tried many times. It’s not going to happen.”

Earlier in the week is reported that Aaron Carter allegedly told OK! Magazine Australia that Michael Jackson gave him wine and cocaine as sleepover favors when he was 15 years old. While recently he told TMZ that the rumors aren't true. I dont know who to believe but I would think this dude would NOT say something like that, especially if he planned on making a comeback to the music scene. Can we say blackballed? haha smh..
